A rear extension for a young family and their two cats.

For this Victorian house in the Crouch End conservation area we created a small side extension with a big impact internally.

The new space benefits from a better flowing layout and is light filled due to the the open glazed corner with minimal framed sliding doors.

From the rear the black charred timber clad extension contrasts with the original London stock brick.

Although the garden is small the tiled patio has an inviting feel and seems like a continuation of the living space.

In a second stage a new loft conversion has been added for the growing family.
